Why Choose Live Ink for Premium Embroidery?

The World's Most Sustainable Embroidery Thread

We exclusively use Madeira Sensa Green—100% biodegradable Lyocell embroidery thread made from sustainably managed forests. Unlike conventional embroidery threads, Sensa Green is produced with a closed-loop process that recycles 99% of water and solvents, uses climate-neutral dying with heat energy recovery, and requires a fraction of the water and land compared to cotton production. This means you get stunning embroidery with deep, intense colours and a distinguished silk-matte finish that's feather-soft against the skin—all while minimising your impact on the planet.

No Minimum Order Quantity - Start with Just One

Whether you're a startup testing your first product run, a premium brand needing samples, or an established business ordering corporate workwear, we welcome orders of any size.

No minimum means you can order exactly what you need—one embroidered cap to test your design, or 10,000 embroidered hoodies for your team.

Barudan Machines - The Best in the World

We invest in the finest equipment because your brand deserves nothing less. Our Barudan embroidery machines are the gold standard for precision, consistency, and advanced technology. This means cleaner lines, consistency, and a premium look that fits with your brand every time.

Embroidered Caps

If you are embroidering onto caps we also offer 3d embroidery to give a puff raised look as well as traditional flat stitching.

3D embroidery works best with bold designs. Too much fine detail and lines under 3mm in width are not suitable so if you are considering this style for your order it is best to email us your artwork first so we can check to see if it will give a good result.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no minimum order quantity at Live Ink. You can order a single embroidered item or thousands—we welcome orders of any size. This makes us ideal for startups testing designs, premium brands creating samples, or anyone who needs the flexibility to order exactly what they need without being forced to buy in bulk.

Yes—we exclusively use Madeira Sensa Green, one of the world's most sustainable embroidery threads. Made from 100% biodegradable TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres sourced from sustainably managed forests, Sensa Green is produced via a closed-loop process that recycles 99% of water and solvents. The thread is OEKO-TEX® certified free from harmful substances, uses climate-neutral drying with heat energy recovery, and requires far less water and land than cotton thread production. When you choose Live Ink embroidery, you're choosing genuine environmental responsibility—not greenwashing.

Embroidery pricing depends on stitch count (design complexity), number of placements (e.g., front only vs front and back), the garment type you choose, and order quantity. There is a one-off digitising fee of £15 including VAT per design, which covers converting your artwork into a stitch file. Once digitised, repeat orders never pay this fee again. For an accurate quote, simply send us your artwork and let us know which garments you're interested in—we'll provide transparent, itemised pricing with no hidden charges.

We prefer vector artwork (AI, EPS, PDF) as it scales perfectly and ensures the cleanest digitisation. We also accept high-resolution raster files (PSD, PNG, JPEG) at 300 DPI minimum at actual embroidery size. If you're unsure whether your artwork is suitable, just send it over—we'll review it and provide expert guidance at no charge. It's better to optimise your design before digitising than to be disappointed with the results.

Embroidery uses thread stitched directly into fabric to create a raised, three-dimensional, highly durable finish. Screen printing applies ink to the fabric surface. Embroidery tends to be more premium in appearance and exceptionally long-lasting (ideal for workwear, uniforms, caps), while screen printing works better for large, vibrant graphics and photographic designs. We offer both methods at Live Ink, and we're happy to advise which is best suited to your specific design and application.
