Set up your Shopify Brand Profile

Learn how to set up your Brand Profile to include printed inside neck labels and branded packing slips with your Shopify app fulfilment orders.

Step 1: Access the App

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.

  2. Navigate to the Apps section (look for the jigsaw piece icon or the "Apps" button).

  3. Select the Live Ink app from your list.

  4. If you haven't installed it yet, you can do so via the Shopify App Store or at live.ink­/my-brands.

Step 2: Create or Edit Your Brand

  1. Once inside the app dashboard, click on "Create New Brand" (or click "Edit Your Brand Profile" at the top right if you already have one).

  2. Enter your Company Name.

  3. Fill in your Customer Service contact details. (While not all fields are mandatory, it is highly recommended to include an email and address for returns).

Step 3: Set Up Your Packing Slip Assets

Your packing slip is a free addition to every parcel. Customize it here:

  1. Upload Logo: Click the upload area or drag and drop your logo file.

  2. Set Brand Color: Enter your brand’s HEX code or use the color picker.

    • Tip: Choose a darker color rather than a light one for better readability on white paper.

  3. Add Custom Messaging:

    • Custom Title: A short greeting. Use the tag ||USERNAME|| to automatically pull the customer's first name (e.g., "Thank you, ||­USERNAME||!").

    • Custom Message: A brief intro or brand story.

    • Featured Message: Ideal for discount codes to encourage repeat purchases.

  4. Social Handles: Select your social media platforms and enter your handles to display icons on the slip.

  5. Save Changes: Click the "Save changes" button at the bottom.

Step 4: Choose a Packing Slip Template

  1. Scroll to the top and click the "Packing Slip" tab.

  2. Click "Preview" on the available templates to see how your logo and messages look.

  3. Select your preferred template and click "Save changes."

Step 5: Set Up Brand Labels (Inside Neck Prints)

If you want your brand logo printed inside the neck of your garments (available for specific products for an extra fee):

  1. Click the "Labels" tab at the top of the page.

  2. Upload your Label: Upload your logo or label design.

    • Specs: Maximum size is 8x8cm.

    • Recommendation: Upload at least two versions—one for light-colored garments and one for dark ones.

  3. Click "Save changes."

Important Notes:

  • Immediate Effect: Changes to packing slips take effect immediately for any orders that have not yet been shipped.

  • Compatibility: Not all products support neck labels (e.g., hoodies with fluffy linings). Check the app’s product list for compatibility.

  • Order of Operations: It is recommended to complete this Brand Profile before you start managing your products to ensure labels are ready to be assigned during product setup.
