Woocommerce: Updating product pages
This step-by-step guide explains how to edit and update your product listings in WooCommerce after they have been synced from Live Ink.
The Golden Rule of Integration
Editing details like the product title, description, category, price, or images in WooCommerce will not affect your integration with Live Ink. However, adding or removing variants (sizes/colors) will require you to re-link them in the Live Ink dashboard to ensure fulfillment continues correctly.
Step 1: Locate Your Products
-
Log in to your WordPress Admin.
-
Navigate to Products > All Products.
-
Click the name of the product you wish to update.
Step 2: Update the Title and Description
-
Product Title: You can edit the title at the very top of the page to be more descriptive or on-brand.
-
Product Description: Scroll down to the main text area to edit the marketing copy. Live Ink pre-populates this with garment specs, but adding your own brand story is recommended.
Step 3: Assign or Change Categories
-
On the right-hand side of the editor, find the Product Categories box.
-
Check the box for the relevant category (e.g., "Men's T-shirts").
-
If the category you need doesn't exist, click "+ Add New Category" to create it.
Step 4: Update Your Product Images
You can manage how your product looks to customers in two sections:
-
Product Image: This is the main "featured" image shown on your shop page. Click the image to replace it with a different mockup from your media library.
-
Product Gallery: These are the additional images (different colors or angles).
-
To delete an image, hover over it and click the "X".
-
To add more, click "Add product gallery images".
-
Step 5: Amending Prices and Variations
-
Scroll down to the Product Data section and click the Variations tab.
-
Click on an individual variant (e.g., "Black / Large") to expand its settings.
-
Regular Price: Enter the price you want your customers to pay. Changing this only affects your profit margin; it does not change what Live Ink charges you for fulfillment.
-
Bulk Edit Prices: If you want to change the price for all sizes at once, use the dropdown menu at the top of the Variations tab and select "Set regular prices", then click "Go".
Step 6: Manage Product Attributes
If you need to change how the options are listed:
-
Click the Attributes tab.
-
Here you can see the Color and Size attributes synced from Live Ink.
-
Ensure that "Visible on the product page" and "Used for variations" are both checked.
-
If you add new attributes manually, remember you must go back to the Live Ink dashboard to link these new options to a physical garment.
Step 7: Save Your Changes
-
Once you have finished editing, scroll back to the top right.
-
Click the blue Update button.
-
Your changes are now live on your store, and your fulfillment link with Live Ink remains secure!
