Squarespace: Setting Up Your Brand Profile

This step-by-step guide explains how to set up your Squarespace Brand Profile within the Live Ink app. Configuring this profile ensures your orders include custom-branded packing slips and inside neck labels.

Pre-Setup Tip

We recommend completing your Brand Profile before you start creating or linking products. This ensures your custom labels are ready to be assigned during the product setup process.

Step 1: Access the Live Ink App

  1. Log in to your Squarespace account.

  2. Navigate to your store admin panel.

  3. Click on the Apps icon (the jigsaw piece) or find "Apps" in the main menu.

  4. Select the Live Ink app from your list of installed integrations.

  5. If you are not in your Squarespace admin, you can also access this via live.ink­/my-brands.

Step 2: Create Your Brand

  1. Click the "Create New Brand" button (or click "Edit Your Brand Profile" at the top right if you already have one).

  2. Enter your Company Name.

  3. Upload your Company Logo.

  4. Fill in your Customer Service contact details.

    • Note: While not all fields are mandatory, it is highly recommended to include a company email and address so customers can contact you easily for returns.

Step 3: Customise Your Packing Slip Assets

Your parcels come with a free standard packing slip. Customise it here:

  1. Brand Color: Enter your brand’s HEX code or use the color picker.

    • Tip: Choose a darker color rather than a light one for better readability on white paper.

  2. Custom Title: A short greeting for the customer. Use the code ||USERNAME|| to automatically pull the customer’s first name (e.g., "Thank you, ||­USERNAME||!").

  3. Custom Message: A short intro or brand story for your customers.

  4. Featured Message: Ideal for discount codes to encourage repeat purchases.

  5. Social Handles: Select your social platforms and enter your handles to display icons on the slip.

  6. Click "Save changes" at the bottom.

Step 4: Select Your Packing Slip Template

  1. Scroll to the top of the page and click the "Packing Slip" tab.

  2. Click "Preview" next to each available template to see how your logo and custom messages look.

  3. Once you've chosen your favorite layout, click "Save changes."

Step 5: Set Up Brand Labels (Inside Neck Prints)

If you want your brand logo printed inside the neck of your garments (available for compatible items for an additional fee of approx. £1.50 + VAT):

  1. Click the "Labels" tab at the top of the page.

  2. Upload your Label: Upload your logo or a custom label design.

    • Specs: Maximum size is 8x8cm.

    • Recom­men­dations: You do not need to include sizes on the labels (most brands just use a logo), but ensure you include care instructions or fibre content if you wish.

  3. Click "Save changes."

Important Notes:

  • Immediate Effect: Changes to packing slips take effect immediately for any orders that have not yet been packed/shipped.

  • Returns: Live Ink does not accept returns on behalf of your customers. Ensure the return address in your profile is your own or your designated returns facility.

  • Compatibility: Not all products support neck labels (e.g., hoodies with fluffy linings). Check the individual product details when creating your items.
