Woocommerce: Manage linked products
This step-by-step guide explains how to manage, edit, and temporarily unlink your WooCommerce products within the Live Ink dashboard. Regularly checking these settings ensures your customers always receive the correct size, color, and garment type.
Step 1: Access the Product Management Screen
-
Log in to your Live Ink account.
-
Navigate to the Integrations or Manage Stores page.
-
Locate your WooCommerce store and click the "Manage Products" button.
-
You will now see a list of all products currently synced between your website and Live Ink.
Step 2: Identifying and Correcting Errors
If a customer receives the wrong item (e.g., they ordered a Large but received a Small), it is usually due to a "mapping" error in the initial setup.
-
Find the product in question and click the "Edit" button.
-
Scroll down to the Variants section.
-
Compare the WooCommerce Variant name (left side) with the Live Ink Product selection (right side).
-
If they do not match (e.g., a "Medium" variant is linked to a "Small" garment), use the dropdown menus to select the correct size or color.
-
Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply the fix.
Step 3: Changing the Fulfilled Garment
If you want to switch the base garment for an existing listing (e.g., moving from a standard T-shirt to a premium Organic T-shirt):
-
Click "Edit" on the product you wish to change.
-
Click the "Link" button at the top to select a new base garment from the Live Ink catalog.
-
Important: You must then re-map all sizes and colors to the new garment's variants to ensure the integration remains active.
Step 4: Unlinking Products Temporarily
There are times when you may want to handle fulfillment yourself (e.g., if you have leftover stock from a market or a bulk run).
-
In the Edit screen for a product, look at the list of variants.
-
Uncheck the tick box next to the specific variant you want to manage manually.
-
While this box is unchecked, Live Ink will not receive or process orders for that specific size/color combination.
-
To resume automated fulfillment, simply return to this page and re-check the box.
Step 5: Updating Labels and Artwork
From this management screen, you can also update branding:
-
Branding: Change the Brand Profile or Neck Label assigned to the product.
-
Artwork: Replace the global print file if you have updated your design.
-
Quality Control: Update the product mockup image so the Live Ink production team has an accurate visual reference for placement.
Step 6: Saving and Final Verification
-
After making any changes, always click the "Save" button at the top or bottom of the page.
-
Check the product list to ensure the progress bar shows 100%.
-
If the bar is lower than 100%, it means some variants are either unlinked or incorrectly mapped.
Important Reminders:
-
Manual Responsibility: Once you unlink a variant, it is your responsibility to ship that item to the customer; Live Ink will ignore that line item on any incoming orders.
-
Sync Delays: Changes saved in Live Ink are effective immediately for all future orders. Existing orders already in "Processing" will not be affected by these changes.
