Woocommerce: Connect Your Store

This step-by-step guide explains how to connect your WordPress-powered WooCommerce store to Live Ink to automate your order fulfillment.

Pre-Setup Requirements

  • Register: Ensure you have a registered account at live.ink.

  • Billing Address: Before connecting, go to your Profile page in the Live Ink dashboard and ensure your billing address is filled in. This prevents delays when your first order is placed.

  • Permalinks: Ensure your WordPress Permalinks are set to anything other than "Plain" (we recommend "Post name"). You can find this in WordPress under Settings > Permalinks.

Step 1: Initiate the Integration

  1. Log in to your Live Ink account.

  2. Navigate to the Integrations or Stores section of your dashboard.

  3. Select WooCommerce from the list of available platforms.

  4. Click the "Connect Your Store" button.

Step 2: Enter Your Store URL

  1. A prompt will appear asking for your Store URL.

  2. Enter your website’s full address (e.g., https://yourstorename.com).

  3. Click "Connect".

Step 3: Authorise the Connection

  1. You will be redirected to your WordPress admin login page. Log in if you aren't already.

  2. An authorisation screen will appear. This screen lists the permissions Live Ink needs to manage your products and orders (e.g., viewing orders and updating shipping status).

  3. Review the permissions and click the "Approve" button.

Step 4: Verification and Final Setup

  1. Once you click approve, you will be redirected back to the Live Ink dashboard.

  2. You should see a confirmation message stating that your WooCommerce store is now successfully integrated.

  3. You will now be able to see your store listed in your Manage Stores section.

Next Steps:

Now that your store is connected, you can begin the fulfillment setup:

  • Link Existing Products: If you already have products on your site, use the "Link Products" tool to map them to Live Ink garments.

  • Create New Products: Use the Live Ink product creator to design new items and export them directly to your WooCommerce shop.

  • Shipping: Ensure you have configured your shipping rates in WooCommerce to match Live Ink’s shipping costs.

Important Notes:

  • Automatic Sync: Once integrated, orders for linked products will automatically pass to Live Ink for printing as soon as they are paid for in your store.

  • Plugin Conflicts: If you encounter an error during connection, ensure you do not have any security plugins (like Wordfence) blocking "Application Passwords" or Rest API access.
